Wilson Bowden
The construction of Wrexham’s largest ever mixed use development scheme, Eagles Meadow, began in 2005. The development was set to ensure Wrexham’s position in the top 80 UK retail destinations.
Wilson Bowden along with architects Bernard Engle designed and build the impressive mixed use development.
The £95 million scheme incorporates retail, leisure and residential areas. At the heart of it all is a striking new retail area, with major retailers such as Debenhams, Marks & Spencer, Next, H&M and River Island, all signing up to be a part of the exciting new development, along with 40 retail units.
The dynamically designed complex also houses a 44,000 sq ft Odeon 8 screen Multiplex Cinema, along with a 24 lane tenpin bowling alley and a range of bars and restaurants. The comprehensive infrastructure ensures easy access to the complex, the 50 new apartments, leisure and retail areas and 1,000 car parking spaces. The new road in to Eagles Medlow opened in March 2007 and the state-of-the-art complex opened to the public in autumn 2009.
Wilson Bowden selected Viewpoint For Projects™ as they required a centralised area to manage all of their commercial developments.
The workflow module was used to approve drawings for; preliminary, construction, as built and for sub contractors issue. Wilson Bowden took advantage of the mark up facility and the task module was used to manage email and project communication amongst team members across all of the individual projects.
