July 9, 2019A new report released today by Dodge Data & Analytics, in collaboration with construction management software provider Viewpoint, a Trimble company, reveals a sea change in the way project data is gathered and analysed across the construction industry—change that is poised to improve key project outcomes according to construction managers, specialty trade contractors and design/build firms surveyed. Tied to increased technology use and advancements, 64 percent of those who participated in the report said that their ability to gather and analyse data has improved or improved significantly.

Viewpoint is a leading provider of scalable construction management software, which integrates contractors' financial and resource management with project operations, jobsite and field. Trimble funded the transaction using a combination of senior notes, term loan, existing credit facilities and cash on hand. Viewpoint will be reported as part of Trimble's Buildings and Infrastructure Segment.

Trimble to Acquire Viewpoint to Create the Industry’s Most Complete Construction Management Solution
Trimble announced today it has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire privately-held Viewpoint from Bain Capital in an all-cash transaction valued at $1.2 billion. Viewpoint is highly complementary to Trimble's e-Builder business, and will extend Trimble's ability to provide more complete and integrated project, jobsite and business workflows across the construction lifecycle.
