What's changed?

We are integrating online Microsoft Office with Viewpoint For Projects. This will give our customers the ability to view and edit Microsoft documents (Word, Excel etc.) directly from within Viewpoint For Projects.

Overview

As our partnership with Microsoft continues to grow, we are strengthening integrations between Microsoft Office and Trimble Viewpoint. Viewpoint For Projects is a powerful construction document management system that is designed to make managing projects easier. As so many Viewpoint For Projects customers already use Microsoft Office, we have removed existing barriers, creating a unified, simplified experience that reduces manual work and increases accuracy.

Description

You know the benefit of Office 365 in your business for doc creation. You know the benefit of VFP for security, control, permissions, and workflow process of documents. Now you can extend the collaboration of Office 365 outside of your organisation, trusting in VFP to govern the permissions, security, and workflow of your documents with your wider project team

Microsoft documents (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) can be quickly viewed and edited within the Viewpoint For Projects in the browser. On-the-fly live document editing vastly improves the user experience by making the editing of documents quick and efficient. Collaborate live with colleagues on Microsoft documents within Viewpoint For Projects whilst maintaining the same level of control VFP gives you, from security permissions to workflow review.
