Manolis Kotzabasakis, CEO

CEO Manolis Kotzabasakis joined the Viewpoint in 2015 from AspenTech, the world leader in software that optimizes complex production processes for the oil & gas, chemical and construction industries. During his 18 years with AspenTech, Kotzabasakis held several executive positions including Marketing & Strategy, Worldwide Sales Operations and Chief Technology Officer / Executive Vice President, Research & Development, where he led the creation of AspenTech’s technical/scientific vision and strategy on a global basis.

Kotzabasakis manages and drives Viewpoint’s worldwide operations to best meet the growing and progressive technology needs of the construction and capital projects industries.

Kotzabasakis holds PhD and MSc degrees in Chemical Engineering from the University of Manchester, UK, and a BSc degree in Chemical Engineering from the National Technical University of Athens, Greece. He was an associate professor in Chemical Engineering at the University of Manchester Institute of Science and Technology (UMIST) in the United Kingdom from 1987 to 1992.

Jennifer Allison, General Counsel & Corporate Secretary

GC Jennifer Allison leads the legal teams at Viewpoint. She has extensive experience in both employment and business law with a focus on fostering a business environment where ethics and integrity are held as core values.

Most recently, she was General Counsel for internet security firm Tripwire, and was known for achieving results in a fast-paced, high-volume environment, providing solutions-oriented legal advice and collaborating with Sales and Finance teams to ensure timely and predicable revenue recognition. Prior, Jennifer was Assistant General Counsel and Director of Corporate Compliance & Human Resources at EthicsPoint (now NAVEX Global) where she helped establish the first in-house legal department.

Jennifer received her Bachelor’s degree in English Literature from Portland State University and her JD from Lewis & Clark Law School. During law school, she focused primarily on employment law and had the honor of clerking for Justice R. William Riggs at the Oregon Supreme Court.

Abe Cohen, Senior Vice President, Marketing

SVP Abe Cohen leads the Viewpoint global marketing team across all functions including strategy, branding, advertising, demand generation, events, corporate communications and digital marketing. He brings twenty years of marketing experience to the Viewpoint leadership team and a proven track record of creating innovative programs to increase customer advocacy, increase brand awareness and drive rapid revenue growth in dynamic technology markets.

Previously, he was Senior Vice President of Marketing at Kaufman Hall, where he recruited and retained an industry-leading marketing and business development team that drove a 400% increase in enterprise software revenue growth over five years. Prior to Kaufman Hall, Abe held a variety of marketing leadership roles at IBM, including global leadership for Business Analytics software marketing.

Abe holds a BS in Business Management from Willamette University and an MBA in Marketing from Boston University.

Dan Farner, Vice President, Product Development

VP Dan Farner oversees Viewpoint’s Product Development and Hosted Operation teams. He is responsible for the company’s engineering, development and testing activities of the ERPs, collaboration, mobile access, on premises and cloud deployed products.

Twenty-eight years ago, after receiving his Bachelors degree from Western Oregon University, Dan immediately joined Viewpoint (then Bidtek) as a software developer. He has held various product development roles during his many years of service for Viewpoint, including QA/BI Manager, Development Manager and Development Director.

Matt Harris, Chief Product & Strategy Officer

Matt is responsible for driving Viewpoint’s overall product strategy and roadmap, ensuring they address the real-world business issues construction professionals face every day.  In addition, Matt is responsible for Viewpoint’s merger and acquisition strategy and execution.  Over the past 8 years at Viewpoint, Matt has helped to completely transform the Viewpoint product portfolio to include state-of-the-art browser based solutions along with multi-platform mobile applications, all of which integrate into Viewpoint’s class leading construction ERP platforms.  Matt has also lead Viewpoint through eight construction software acquisitions which have added critical new products to the Viewpoint portfolio and cemented Viewpoint’s construction software leadership in North America, the United Kingdom, and Australia. 

He is passionate about the application of technology to transform work being done in the construction industry and has spoken at dozens of industry events on the best practices for construction technology strategies and implementation.

Before joining Viewpoint in 2011, Matt had executive positions in Divisional Leadership, Strategy, Mergers & Acquisitions, and Product Management with FEI Company (global leader in nanotechnology solutions), Planar Systems (a leader in medical imaging technology), and Netscape Communications (an enterprise software leader).  In addition, he began his career with General Electric in a technical leadership program.

Matt has engineering and psychology degrees from Cornell and his MBA from Stanford University and enjoys the bounties of Oregon with his wife and two sons.

Kelly Lang, Chief Financial Officer

CFO Kelly Lang is responsible for building strong business strategies that drive profitable growth as well as diverse and strategic teams. Kelly brings more than 25 years of progressive finance and accounting experience to Viewpoint from a series of publicly traded, venture-backed or private equity-funded companies.

Kelly was most recently Vice President and CFO for Tripwire, a high-growth international cybersecurity software developer. Kelly has also served as Executive Vice President and CFO at Merix Corporation, and was the VP, Corporate Controller & Treasurer at Schnitzer Steel. Over the years Kelly has held a variety of financial management roles including VP of Capital Investments and Business Integration, VP of Finance as well as Manager of Strategic Analysis.

Armed with a BA in Business Administration from Seattle University, Kelly began his career at PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC).

Tom McNamara, Chief Operating Officer

COO Tom McNamara’s responsibilities span the entire client lifecycle – from marketing and sales through to implementation with Viewpoint’s professional services team and ongoing customer support. He brings nearly three decades of leadership experience to the Viewpoint executive team along with exceptionally strong strategic, analytical and financial skills. He is dedicated to building high-performing teams who focus on delivering exceptional customer experiences and driving aggressive business growth.

Tom came to Viewpoint from NAVEX Global, where he spent nearly ten years, most recently as Chief Revenue Officer. Prior to NAVEX Global, Tom was with Associated Business Systems for five years, and with Xerox for 12 years, in a variety of increasingly responsible sales management positions, where he consistently recruited, hired and retained strong sales leadership teams.

Maury Plumlee, Senior Vice President, Strategic Partnerships

SVP Maury Plumlee has been a member of the Viewpoint team for more than 35 years. Having served in many of the key executive roles in the organization during that time, he currently serves as a representative to Viewpoint’s most strategic and influential customers, prospects and industry strategic partnerships.

Prior, Maury was the VP of Marketing, and before that had direct responsibility for North America sales of all Viewpoint product lines, including the company’s flagship product, Vista by Viewpoint. Maury led a team of 60 sales professionals and a growing network of business partners throughout North America and Australia. 

Maury holds a BA in Political Science from the University of Oregon.

Lisa Robinson, Vice President, Human Resources

VP Lisa Robinson leads the Viewpoint global human resources team across all functions including talent acquisition, talent development, comp and benefits and HR operations. She brings over 20 years of human resources experience to the Viewpoint leadership team and a demonstrated record of leading high performing HR teams in rapid growth organizations.

Most recently, Lisa held executive level HR positions for financial services and consulting companies that grew significantly in a short period and were eventually acquired as wholly owned subsidiaries by companies including Merrill Lynch, Bank of America and IBM.

Lisa has a BS degree in psychology and business administration from University of Oregon.

Steve Attwell, Vice President, EMEA

VP Steve Attwell is responsible for leading Viewpoint’s EMEA operations and leads the UK office. Atwell most recently served as a scaleup partner for the Sunderland, U.K.-based consulting firm RTC North, which helps clients innovate through technology and digitalization of operations — a key tenet of his role at Viewpoint.

Attwell previously served in a variety of leadership roles for 25+ years with Sage’s United Kingdom division. Among them: managing director of Sage’s SMB (small- to medium-business) sector for Sage UK and Ireland; general manager — mid market for Sage’s UK&I channel business and enterprise corporate business; head of marketing for Sage’s UK&I mid-market demand generation, marketing communications and PR teams; migration channel manager responsible for Sage’s migration strategy from small business to mid-market products; and head of product development for Sage’s UK&I product portfolio across accounts, payroll and CRM categories. As a result, he brings deep understanding of business operations, construction and digital change management to Viewpoint’s clientele.

Ian Desbrow, Vice President, APACs

VP Ian Desbrow brings more than 20 years experience in enterprise management and technology with sales, consulting, finance and human resources disciplines across Australia, Asia and the Middle East. Ian’s focus is to drive growth and implement programs and processes which support a superior experience for customers, prospects and employees.

Ian was the former CEO of Jobpac, which is now a Viewpoint Construction ERP line, and has also been Managing Director of INFOR Global Systems, Pacific Region, the third-largest ERP company in the world. These are underpinned by senior management roles at Lawson Software, Oracle, PeopleSoft and MINCOM.
