We are proud to announce that Viewpoint has won the 2020 "Non-Headquartered Technology Company of the Year Award" from the Technology Association of Oregon (TAO) as part of its 36th annual Oregon Technology Awards.
The Oregon Technology Awards celebrate excellence and achievement in the region's technology industry, annually honoring 10 companies for their accomplishments, leadership and commitment to the industry and the community across a broad swathe of categories, from startup to established organizations.
The Non-Headquartered Technology Company of the Year category honors companies with a presence in Oregon via a division and/or wholly owned subsidiary who have had a significant impact on Oregon’s technology industry in the past year, judged by financial, employment and community factors.
“We are extremely proud to be recognized as the Technology Association of Oregon’s 2020 winner for Non-Headquartered Technology Company,” said Viewpoint CEO Manolis Kotzabasakis. “Every award finalist is focused on growth and innovation, as well as making the Portland technology community a major player on both the national and global stage. We’re honored to be a part of this community and proud of the technological advances we’ve contributed to make the construction industry more efficient, productive and profitable.”
Here is a clip of Viewpoint being recognized at the TAO’s virtual award ceremony, with Viewpoint CFO Andrew Bates accepting the award:
Two years ago, we were named 2018 Enterprise Company of the Year by the TAO. Since then, we’ve made even greater strides in bringing Portland’s technology to the global stage, helping to advance the construction industry worldwide. This includes a deeper integration with Trimble, which acquired Viewpoint in 2017.
The integration announcement follows a year in which we’ve helped advance technology by investing in data and analytics solutions that enable contractors to track and report project performance in real time through Viewpoint Analytics. At Collaborate, we also announced that we’re integrating HR Management into our Spectrum ERP, giving HR professionals and employees a broader web-based onboarding platform and self-service capabilities designed to boost talent acquisition and scale and automate many HR processes. These advances are all the more relevant given the COVID-19 pandemic as businesses are increasingly relying on technology to provide insights into their projects to make them more productive and profitable, while also making remote onboarding more efficient and safer for employers and employees.
Viewpoint is a longstanding member of TAO, along with 450 other local companies who are passionate about making Oregon and Southwest Washington a global hub for innovation. Through TAO, members are part of a larger technology community that supports state and national technology initiatives and furthers local educational efforts to share best practices.
“The work of the Technology Association of Oregon only continues to grow in importance to our region given all the organization does to support and promote the achievements of local leaders and innovators,” said Viewpoint CFO Andrew Bates, who accepted the award during the TAO’s virtual awards ceremony on Sept. 23. “We are excited to work with them on what the future will bring given the changing face of work in 2020.”
We’re also consistently adding technology professionals to our ranks. If you’re interested in joining the Viewpoint team, check out our Viewpoint careers page where you can learn about working at Viewpoint and look at our current job openings.
