As a reflection of our commitment to sustainability and green business practices, Viewpoint is located in the newly renovated LEED Gold certified RiverEast Center along the banks of Willamette River in downtown Portland, Oregon.
The renovated 90,000 square foot building, originally built in 1951, provides Viewpoint with the ability to deliver the highest level of customer support and product innovations as we grow. Not only equipped with two cutting- edge training rooms, dedicated remote training rooms and an advanced A/V system for videoconferencing, the building has several green features which contributed to the prestigious LEED Gold certification.
Green Street – A public plaza with Portland's first example of shared facilities for treating public and private storm water.
Energy Efficiency – An entire solar wall on the south side of the building captures and diverts solar heat throughout the building year round. Expanses of natural light, a reflective white roof, window glazing, energy-saving fixtures, and buying 100% green power reduces energy consumption by 51%.
Reclaiming and Recycling – With funding from the Regional Arts and Culture Council (RACC) for a series of sculptures in the plaza, large concrete slabs, originally cut out for windows and doors were used for their creation. In addition, over 95% of the concrete waste has been reclaimed for other purposes. The building also features sustainably harvested bamboo paneling.
