Jim Paulson serves as President for Viewpoint Construction Software who he joined in January 2008 and is also Secretary of the Board at Viewpoint. Mr. Paulson owns responsibility for driving strategic alignment, focus & priorities, and operational performance across the company's global operations including North America, EMEA (Europe, Middle East, Africa) and APAC (Asia Pacific).
Mr. Paulson has overseen the company's exponential growth as the company's employee population has more than quadrupled while revenues have grown more than six-fold during his tenure.
Prior to joining Viewpoint, Mr. Paulson served as the General Manager for GE Security, a $2 Billion division of the General Electric Company, where he led the global engineering, design and manufacturing of high tech security electronic hardware and software. He joined GE in 2004 and was responsible for approximately $400 million in global product revenues including $200 million in North America.
Mr. Paulson holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Wisconsin-LaCrosse and MBA from the University of Oregon. He sits on the Board of Mitchell Lewis Staver, is Co-Chair of the Oregon Executive MBA Alumni Board, and is a member of both the Technology Association of Oregon (TAO) and Construction Financial Managers Association (CFMA).
A self-professed "cheese head" from Wisconsin, Jim and his wife grew up in the Midwest and are avid Packer fans. When not working or watching his favorite teams (Packers, Ducks or Trail Blazers), you'll likely find Jim on the golf course trying to better his last golf score or traveling – often to visit his 3 children.
